€5000 was raised recently in a Music night organised by the GAA club. Kim's people as always were excellent on the night. Children in our senior classes from 3rd to 6th also performed some well known and enjoyable songs. They too were amazing. The cheque was presented to Marie-Ann Michel from Trocaire last week at the school. Marie-Ann spoke about Trocaires work in many countries over the past 50 years. She spoke about the devastation caused by the earthquake in Turkey/Syria and how Trocaire is able to respond quickly because of it's partnerships with other local organisations. She also did a very interesting Question and Answer session with the children and spoke about how she loves visiting schools. For our part we were delighted with her visit. It tied in nicely with the work we were doing in relation to Nasteha and her family who feature on this year's Trocaire box. #galballygaa
