Robotics
12th Jan 2024
Our Senior classes had a very enjoyable visit today from #Learnit. It was sponsored by #Analogdevices They gave the children a workshop in robotics.
The aim of the class was to promote Science Technology Engineering and Maths (STEM) by encouraging and promoting teamwork as well as the learning of STEM principles in a fun environment. The workshop demonstrated the importance of teamwork and collaboration. We hope the skills learned today and the enjoyment from utilising those skills will encourage our boys and girls to explore all things science. During the workshop they designed and built their own robotic hand. Thanks very much to Fergal and Olivean who presented the class. Well done Marie, Michael and Thomas who came first for their project and to Pavlo, Elly and Stephen who came second. They will now represent Galbally NS in the overall competition at Analog in March.
