We had a most enjoyable visit today from Damien Drea. Damien is a music therapist. All the children had a great day. The visit was part of our ongoing wellbeing programme. Music therapy gives children an opportunity to participate in active and receptive music therapy methods. It includes songwriting, music improvisation, song singing and relaxation activities. Instruments used include voice, guitar piano and percussion. The session allows children to participate in a shared creative musical experience. It supports general well-being and gives an opportunity to explore emotions and connectedness with others.
