Horse Fair 24.
8th Oct 2024
Today, our senior classes enjoyed a visit to the horse fair, where we had the chance to watch the horse dealers and learn about the deep historical traditions behind the trade. The weather was mild and pleasant, perfect for wandering through the stalls. From a historical perspective, the visit offered an insight into the centuries-old practice of horse trading, an integral part of rural economies and social life. We were delighted to catch up with our class mate Cillian who had his very own Hurley repair stall there. We got some beautiful photos of the fair and its lively atmosphere, making it a memorable and educational experience.
