We had a fabulous day today as we celebrated this lovely day as part of Catholic Schools week.
We want to sincerely thank all our Grandparents who joined us in such huge numbers. A special thanks to Fr Joe for celebrating a beautiful Mass with us. Well done and thanks to the parents who helped with refreshments afterwards and to all those who sent in home baking this morning. Finally thanks to all our staff who worked so hard in preparation for today.The celebrations started at 12.45 when our Senior classes provided a Guard of honour for our VIP guests. We then celebrated mass and the singing was amazing. The children took part in all aspects of the Mass liturgy. Afterwards we heard pupils essays on the importance of Grandparents in their lives. Each class sang a song for our guests and then we adjourned to the Community Centre for teas and refreshments. All in all it was a special emotional day that will live in our memories.
