Today was Grandparents Day and it was a really beautiful special day at Galbally NS. From early morning home baking started arriving and we were overwhelmed by parents generosity.At half 12 we celebrated a special mass in the church. Our VIP guests were warmly welcomed as they arrived to a guard of honour by our Senior classes.Mass was celebrated by Fr O Neill. Then we had songs essays readings & prayers. The day concluded with refreshments in the Community Centre and we chatted right up to home time. This was a day when we honoured our grandparents & indeed some great-grandparents. Well done to all who helped out with donations of food and a huge thanks to the Parent Association for all their hard work.
