5th class have been learning a technique for critical thinking called 'The Six Hats' developed by Edward de Bono. It breaks thinking down into six different components each with its own different colour. Red is emotional feeling on the subject, yellow is for positive things, black is for negative things, white is facts you know, green is creative thoughts and blue is for areas for further thinking and overall thoughts about the subject. We did a class based one on Covid-19 in Ireland. The class use this method when starting projects or writing about something.
